Emergency Situations We Handle

When It Can't

Wait

Some irrigation problems are urgent. A zone stuck running wastes hundreds of gallons per hour and risks a SWFWMD Phase III violation. A gushing mainline can flood a yard overnight. These situations deserve priority attention.

Zone Stuck Running — Won't Shut Off

A valve that won't close runs your system continuously. Under Phase III restrictions, this is both a compliance risk and a water bill problem. We prioritize these calls.

Mainline or Lateral Pipe Gushing

A pressurized break floods your yard and runs your pump without stop. This needs prompt attention to prevent property damage and pump motor burnout.

Controller Malfunction Causing Continuous Run

A controller that can't stop the system is urgent. Call us and we will walk you through a manual shutoff while scheduling priority service.

Pump Running Constantly or Dry Running

A pump running without water will burn out quickly. If your pump won't stop or is running without output, call immediately.

Broken Head Spraying Uncontrolled

A broken head at full pressure is wasteful and a restriction violation. We carry replacement heads on every truck.

Backflow Device Failure

A failed backflow preventer can compromise your home's water supply. This is a same-day safety priority.

Most emergency calls receive a response within 48 hours. Our office is staffed 7am to 7pm, 7 days a week. Our on-call team is available after hours for urgent situations, and 24/7 emergency dispatch is always available.

Yes — running outside your designated watering window is a compliance issue regardless of whether the run was intentional. A zone that won’t close is an urgent situation both for water waste and for compliance.

Turn off your controller first. Then locate your irrigation mainline shutoff — usually near the water meter or in a green utility box near the foundation. Turn clockwise to close. If you cannot find it, your home’s main water supply shutoff will stop the system. Call us and we will walk you through it.

Emergency calls are quoted the same way as all Goterra repairs — free inspection, written quote before work starts. Priority scheduling may involve a premium that is always disclosed on the call before you commit.
