What Every Installation Includes

Built to Code.

Built to Last.

Most irrigation systems are installed as fast as possible to hit a price point. Goterra installs systems designed to perform correctly for 15 to 20 years — with quality components, code-compliant design, and programming that matches your property’s actual soil and water conditions.

Site Assessment and Custom Zone Design

We walk your property, evaluate soil type, water source, and sun exposure, then design a zone layout that achieves true head-to-head coverage. Every zone calculated for consistent flow and pressure — designed for your property, not a template.

Code-Compliant from Day One

Goterra pulls all required permits and installs to Florida Specialty Irrigation Contractor standards. Backflow preventers, rain sensors, and SWFWMD-compliant scheduling built in — not added as afterthoughts.

Hunter Pressure-Regulated Spray Heads

We specify Hunter pressure-regulated heads on every installation. These regulate pressure internally — eliminating misting, reducing evaporation, and producing consistent head-to-head coverage. EPA WaterSense standard. Our default, not an upgrade.

Hunter Hydrawise WiFi Smart Controller

Every installation includes a Hunter Hydrawise WiFi controller pre-programmed for your SWFWMD watering day and cycle-and-soak schedule. Manage from your phone, receive alerts, and skip watering automatically when it rains. Municipal rebates may apply.

Soil-Matched Programming

Polk County's sandy soils and Hillsborough's spodic hardpan require different programming. We configure cycle-and-soak runtimes matched to your actual soil type so water penetrates effectively without runoff.

Full Homeowner Walkthrough

After installation, your technician demonstrates every zone, explains the controller, and confirms your SWFWMD watering day. You leave knowing exactly how your system works.

Common Questions

Installation Questions

Answered

New system installations start around $2,000 for standard residential properties. The final investment depends on your water source, number of heads required, property size and layout, soil conditions, and whether hardscape routing is needed. We provide a free assessment and written quote before anything is scheduled.

We install Hunter — specifically Hunter pressure-regulated spray heads and Hunter Hydrawise WiFi smart controllers as our standard specification.

Certain municipalities in Polk and Hillsborough County offer rebates for qualifying smart controller installations. Ask your technician — rebate availability varies by utility.

Hillsborough County requires a permit for new installations; Polk County requirements vary by municipality. Goterra handles all permit applications as part of the installation. You receive permit documentation with your completed job.

Most standard residential systems are completed in a single day by Goterra’s crew.

We use minimal trenching and restore the lawn surface as part of every installation. Any disturbed areas are backfilled and left in good condition. We walk the property with you before we leave.
